A Quick Welcome

Welcome | May 15, 2014

Egreis Gjergjani

My name is Egreis Gjergjani and this is my page (blog).

I’m a wife to my husband, Jeremy; a mommy to my newborn, Gio, and a bonus mom to 3 beautiful kids, KJ, Laney and Luke. I used to work in Affiliate Marketing, but am now a stay at home mom, whose main priority is her family and making sure everything at home is A Okay! I plan on focusing on my career in a few, but for now I am thankful and blessed enough to be able to stay with Gio all day long and help him through each milestone of his.

Before Gio, I was just a fashionista with a strange shoe obsession. I’m often referred to as the Shoe Queen. I blogged and posted pictures of my daily outfits and shoes and thought nothing of it. It wasn’t until I birthed my son that my life became truly meaningful. He has changed me in every way I could think of and I am so thankful. My life has shifted from heels and purses to diapers and baby bottles, and I couldn’t feel any more complete. Life is all about phases and cycles and I am glad I am experiencing them all; the good and the bad. It is what we are here for. To live, to learn, to enjoy, to remember, and to never forget or regret.

With my blog, I plan to share some of the day to day experiences, laughs, tears, challenges, feelings, adventures, trips and tips as a new wife and mommy. On my Instagram page (http://www.instagram.com/theStilettoMeUp) women often ask me about different things, especially baby related. As much as I have tried my best to keep up and answer to all, it has been difficult, so I’m hoping my blog will help me with it. I’m not an expert, nor do I have a lot of experience in any of this. But I’m learning as I go. I am fully dedicated to my family and I have researched and read a ton before deciding to do, buy, or use anything when it comes to my child. I recommend that you don’t take my word for it, but do your own research as well. After all, no two moms are the same, and there are many different ways of parenting. All can be great. “There is no way to be a perfect mother, but there are a million ways to be a great one”.

I welcome all of your comments and suggestions as well. I welcome positivity and good energy. We can all learn from one another. And for the Stiletts that love my fashion sense and my shoe addiction, I promise to update that section as well. And please bear with me. The fashionista in me will always be there and I have the rest of my life to dress up in heels. But I only get these moments once in my lifetime so I want to cherish them as much as possible. My son will only be this age today. Tomorrow he’s one day older. So I hope you can understand why I’ve shifted my focus to him and my family solely.

So to keep it short, and yes I call this short because if you know me you know I like to talk (type) a whole lot…I’ll be blogging about mommy, baby, fashion, beauty and my overall lifestyle. I hope you enjoy it and I hope we learn from one another.

Have one beautiful, blessed day!

Egreis Gjergjani

Nowhere here saying you’re Albanian ? Why? :/

    1. Egreis Gjergjani says:

But you know I’m Albanian so I obviously talk about it. I don’t have to mention it on every post. It’s pretty obvious I am.

  24. Kimberley says:

hey!! I forgot how I came across your IG, but when I did, I fell in love with it because you were a beautiful mom-to-be and you still are gorgeous!!! it’s like you carry a cloud with you when you walk.

But, how did you get started with your “shoe obsession”? I see that you have tons.

I also read the post about how you made a vision board. How did you work towards your dream? How did you do it? I know there’s no “secret”, but I want/would like tips. I have pretty much the same dreams as you and I believe everything happens for a reason. I moved to Nashville and got the job I’ve always wanted in high school with Ethan Allen, which is a job title I’ve been longing for when I was in Charlotte, NC.

But, I really want to be a wellness coach (I feel like there’s a certain “certification” for that. bleh.) and a image consultant. Hard industries to break into, but my calling/ministry is to women and young girls. It’s been my thing since 10th grade as I always wanted to open a foundation for young girls to empower them by building their self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-discipline. It’s something I’m truly passionate about, and shopping. I’m passionate about shopping.

Idk, could you kind of become my…mentor? Please? Kind of? Haha. I would definitely appreciate it much…thanks.

    xoxo

    1. Egreis Gjergjani says:

      Thank you so much Vicky!

  46. Mariah says:

    Hi Egi,
First of all I think you’re like totally awesome, I totally admire your tenacity and ambition to be the best version of you possible, plus little Gio is so dang precious. I know you’re super busy with your growing family your reply is a long shot, but I still wanted to ask you a question. I just turned 18 this week and I’ll be graduating High School this year, I’ve always loved CL and have thought about buying myself a pair for my birthday. The only thing is is that it would basically wip out all I’ve saved since August. I’m very fortunate and I’m not working because I have to but just to have some extra cash / save for college. (it’s not like id be buying them over necessities) AH ok this is long, sorry, so basically I guess I just wanted to know if you think it’s worth it for someone so young? I mean I know I want them Ive always admired them but should I wait until I’m older? I just love the idea of being able to walk across the graduation stage in them, I just don’t want buyers remorse lol. Anyway I hope you have a good weekend (:

    1. Egreis Gjergjani says:

      Hi love,
      Thank you!
I personally believe in doing whatever it is that gives you happiness. Had you asked me in my early 20s I would say go for it. As a more mature woman now, I say wait. There are other things you could spend your extra cash on that will probably be more useful. but on the other hand I also know and understand the importance of doing something that gives you joy. For me, they always motivated me to keep going because if I was that happy with one pair, I knew I wanted more. Once again, it is up to you but I would really think it through 🙂

  47. Treanna says:

Love this, just found your page today, i applaud you and admire you..being a wife and mom isn’t easy (i have 2 boys) but you make it look that way, love and blessings from Brooklyn <3

    Hi Egries..
    I love ur blog.
I’m in love with Gio he’s so smart. I have 3 babies 2girls ages 4 and 2 and one boy he’s 10 months old,
I’m 22 and I’m from Kansas City, I would love to meet you and Gio one day.
P.S I’m in love with your shoe closet..

  49. I’m a young mom, and nothing touches and inspires me like you. To the point where I’m trying to take risks, not only to better my life and that of my son, but other less fortunate babies in my country aswel-I’m from South Africa. Although these plans I have may still be in the pipeline, I hope to find a woman as Genuine as you to mentor me. It would mean a lot to me if I were to get the right advice from people with more experience, especially those who seek to uplift other women rather than belittle them, Like You. Thank you so much, it’s the little things such as your posts and beautiful words that move small women (literally and figuratively, lol) like myself to believe that they can move mountains. May God keep blessing you so that you are able to bless others. xOxO

You write about your father a lot. However you never mention a mother. Can you share that story with us. For some reason I feel there is pain there, with all due respect. Stay amazing xoxo

    1. Egreis Gjergjani says:

Thank you Ajda! I appreciate it. Yes, there is a lot of pain there and I just haven’t figured a way out to resolve it within me just yet. For now I just put it away and do not face it. At some point I will, and when I’ve gotten over that myself, i’ll be able to open up about it to you guys. Thank you!

      1. Ajda says:
