I know I’ve been away for too long but trust me; I have been meaning to write everyday. Somehow, I always fell short of time. Those of you who follow me on social media know what a crazy life I have been living these days. For the others who don’t, it’s been too long…let’s catch up?
The last time I blogged, I had just had Ivy and I was in my second year of my Online Children’s Couture Line, Itty Bitty Toes. Ivy turned One in June, and as if I didn’t have my hands full, I decided to launch a new business, in addition to my Children’s clothing line – this time it is a Clothing Line for Women, called By Egreis. It has been crazy with the three little monkeys around and two businesses. To top it all, I have been traveling non stop, everywhere. I’m excited to keep you updated and share it all on here.
Before I dwell into all the details of the new business venture I’m working on, I must tell you that I owe it all to the amazing people around me. They’ve really made it all possible. From my husband, who is the most patient and supportive human being on Earth, to my assistant Kaylea who has never treated her job as a job and is truly part of the family; to the beautiful women who work with me on my brands – I can’t thank you enough for making this entire journey along with all its highs and lows so incredible. And to my dad, who’s always been my hero, my support, and someone I’ve always looked up to and wanted to be like. Our Capricorn bond is like no other and I’m thankful.
As most of you know, Fashion and style (esp shoes) has always been my thing. Since a little girl I’ve always loved to dress up, put crazy make up on, try on shoes after shoes after shoes, all while being a wild tomboy that always wanted to run around and play outside with all the tough boys. Not what you’d typically picture a tomboy to be like, but I was both the girly girl and the soccer chick who was tough and competitive. I used to daydream about being in Fashion one day and seeing my name on a billboard – having my own brand. At the time I was just obsessed with the idea of being successful in Fashion and having people recognize you. Today, at 31 years old I realize the deeper meaning of my dreams. I envision and want to create a brand that celebrates womanhood and makes every woman feel good about herself. ‘By Egreis’ is my brand that is designed by women for women. All women. Tall, short, thick, thin, black, white, ALL women! I love them all. We are such amazing beings. The strength, the power, the energy, the force, touch, and all that we are and can do is amazing to me, and I find out more powers daily as I go through challenges in life.
I consider myself a full-time mom and a full-time entrepreneur or maybe a part-time both. My family and my kids are what I live for, and my work is what keeps me going. Every day is phenomenal, and your love and support only add to it. Thank you for being a part of of this journey with me; I feel like I’ve literally made hundreds of friends online. A lot of them who comment so often feel like BFFs in my head. You guys have been through the single days with me, to the dating days, married days, pregnant days – all gazillion of them, businesses, we’ve been through it all together!! You have seen me smile, cry, stress out, enjoy life, clean floors, do dishes, shop til i drop, sketch designs and make them all come alive, you name it. We did it all. And it’s awesome to have a loyal following like that – a tribe of WOMEN who truly understand the raw and the real content I try to bring to you guys as often as possible.
I know I have failed you all on the blog/video updates – horribly failed you! But I am going to do better. I have so many plans and ideas: for starters, I am redesigning this entire page. This layout, LAWWDDDD, gotta be 2012 vibes. Got to go! So i got a fresh new design coming soon. New logo, much needed. A whole YouTube channel that I will actually take videos for and upload often (not just IG videos that i happen to throw on my Youtube channel too), and IGTV too! I plan on truly taking you inside my life and all that goes on in there – the good and the bad. And you take what you take from it, and hopefully you learn a thing or two with me.
